Calborat: Calcium and Boron Liquid Fertilizer for Floral and Fruit System
Calborat is a liquid concentrate containing Calcium and Boron, chelated with sugar alcohols and incorporating seaweed extract. The formulation is designed to provide these essential nutrients to support plant structure and reproductive development.
Calborat Formulation
- Calcium (Ca): An essential secondary nutrient required for the structural integrity of cell walls and membranes. It is also involved in cell division and elongation.
- Boron (B): A micronutrient that works in conjunction with Calcium. It is essential for reproductive growth, cell wall formation, and the transport of sugars.
- Sugar Alcohols: These compounds facilitate nutrient uptake and translocation through the plant’s vascular system (phloem and xylem).
- Seaweed Extract: Included as a biostimulant, containing natural compounds that can support a plant’s metabolic processes, particularly under conditions of environmental stress.

Application Guidelines
Application is recommended before flowering and during fruit development, to meet crop demand for Calcium and Boron.
Foliar Spray
For nutrient application directly to the leaves.
- Recommended Rate: 300 – 500 ml per 200 liters of water.
- Instructions: Apply as a fine mist to cover the leaf surfaces.
Fertigation (Soil Application)
For application to the root zone via the irrigation system.
- Recommended Rate: 2 – 3 litres/feddan.
- Instructions: Inject into the irrigation water for root zone application.
Note: Shake the container well before use. It is advisable to conduct a jar test for compatibility before tank-mixing with other products. Application rates may need to be adjusted based on crop type, growth stage, and nutrient requirements.
