Cal Mag: Calcium and Magnesium Liquid Fertilizer for Floral and Fruit System
Cal Mag is a liquid formula containing Calcium, Magnesium, and Citric Acid. It is formulated for use in agriculture to address physiological disorders related to deficiencies of these nutrients. Cal Mag is designed to support plant functions by providing essential elements for cell structure and photosynthesis.
Cal Mag Formulation
- Calcium (Ca): An essential element for the formation of plant cell walls. Sufficient calcium contributes to cell integrity and structural stability, which can mitigate conditions such as blossom-end rot, fruit cracking, and tip burn.
- Magnesium (Mg): A central component of the chlorophyll molecule, which is necessary for photosynthesis. It also acts as an activator for numerous enzymes involved in plant growth and metabolism.
- Citric Acid: Functions as a chelating agent. It bonds with Calcium and Magnesium ions, improving their solubility and availability for plant absorption through both foliar and root application.

Application Guidelines

Foliar Spray

- Recommended Rate: Mix 300 – 500 ml per 200 liters of water.
- Instructions: Apply as a fine mist to cover the leaf surfaces. Application is recommended during cooler parts of the day, such as early morning or late afternoon.
Fertigation (Soil Application)
For application to the root zone via the irrigation system.
- Recommended Rate: 2 – 3 litres/feddan.
- Instructions: Distribute through the drip irrigation system for root zone application.
Note: It is advisable to conduct a jar test for compatibility before tank-mixing with other agricultural chemicals.
