When injected into an irrigation system, it works to neutralize bicarbonates, the primary cause of high pH and emitter clogging. This acidification process improves the efficiency of your irrigation system. It dissolves insoluble calcium compounds, converting them into valuable Calcium Nitrate, a premium source of two essential nutrients.

Application Rates

Mixing & Compatibility Precautions
To ensure safety and prevent clogging of your irrigation system, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Acid-to-Water Rule: Always add Nitric Magic (acid) slowly to a larger volume of water. NEVER add water to acid, as this can cause a violent, hazardous reaction.
- Prevent Precipitation: To avoid clogging, do not mix concentrated Nitric Magic in the same tank with phosphate or sulfate fertilizers, especially when calcium is present. It is a standard best practice to use separate stock tanks for these combinations.
- Avoid Strong Reactions: Do not mix concentrated Nitric Magic directly with alkaline products (bases). Always perform a jar test for compatibility before mixing in a tank.
Safety and Handling

- Always wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles or a face shield, and protective clothing.
- Work in a well-ventilated area.
- Always add acid to water, never add water to acid, to prevent a dangerous exothermic reaction.
- Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible materials (like bases, metals, and organic materials). Keep container tightly closed.
- Follow all local regulations for handling and storing corrosive materials.
